Hebrew Block and Cursive

I created the HEBREW: BLOCK AND CURSIVE series of acrylic paintings in 2023, when I was 94 years old. The series was part of a group of recent series of painting in which I tried to express, through largely illegible texts, my feeling about the chaos in our world. In each of the paintings in the present series, I depicted the two tablets of the Ten Commandments, with Hebrew block letters surrounding them and with cursive Hebrew letters superimposed on the block letters. I used the ancient art of stenciling to create these paintings, using three stencils for each painting.
